Building Zimbabwe's Football Future Through Partnership

The One Community Junior League operates through a unique dual sponsorship model. Our Principal Sponsor provides the national framework and matched funding, while Zone Sponsors bring the league to life in their local communities. Together, they ensure that schools participate completely free of charge.

MWOS One Community – Principal Sponsor

Moors World of Sport (MWOS) undertakes Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives through the MWOS One Community programme, focusing on three key areas: promoting responsible gambling, sports development, and community development.

As our Principal Sponsor, MWOS One Community provides:

  • National league framework and administration
  • Matched funding – dollar-for-dollar with every Zone Sponsor
  • Professional standards and quality assurance
  • Digital infrastructure including juniorleague.co.zw
  • Coach development through CAF Category D certification

MWOS One Community states that "sports development is key to the vision of the MWOS One Community initiative. We are passionate about sport and invest in the community through sport sponsorship, sport development, training and youth teams."

A Legacy of Sports Development

MWOS One Community's commitment to sports development extends far beyond football:

  • Cricket Development: US$2,500 sponsorship of the High Performance Hub, making cricket accessible to children from low-income backgrounds
  • Tennis Excellence: Supporting BTA Tennis Zimbabwe (Baseline Tennis Academy) in Harare
  • Local Football: Through MWOS FC, bringing Premier League football to Norton and demonstrating remarkable community spirit

Community at Heart

As the MWOS One Community programme states: "We are part of one community. We play a part in and actively influence the communities we impact through our operations. Through our programmes we support developing communities, the underprivileged and those with health and disability challenges."

This philosophy aligns perfectly with our league's mission – using football as a vehicle for youth development, education, and community building.

Zone Sponsors

Zone Sponsors are the champions of grassroots football in their communities. Each Zone Sponsor's $5,000 investment is matched by MWOS One Community, creating a $10,000 total investment per zone that covers all costs for participating schools.
